It’s November 1968, as Bob-A-Loo (Bob Lewis) previews the yet-to-be-released new Beatles album. The music is low-fidelity, as WABC-FM had obtained it from a bootleg source. The fun part of this aircheck is the advance information that Bob-A-Loo provides about the upcoming (White) album, most of which turned out to be wrong.

WGBB was Long Island’s most popular homegrown Top 40 station in the late sixties. And there was no bigger star on the big 1240 than Dave Vieser, AKA "The Vieser". Hear radio on the Island as it sounded in November 1967, courtesy of Boss Radio 66.

If you were lucky enough to live in Los Angeles in October 1967, you could treat yourself to Radio Free Oz on KRLA. This is some of the earliest experimental comedy from Firesign Theatre, along with some great 1967 music. Listen and enjoy.
