Shirley Ellis started off singing in a band called the Metronomes in the 50's, but it wasn't until the 60's that she found her place in the pop charts with a string of hit songs. She wrote mainly rock 'n roll, but also loved to sing jazz, pop and soul. Here's a Sugar, Let's Shing-A-Ling, a kind of unique song for Shirley. It's a bit funkier than most of her other music.
Along with Shirley's fine hits, there's a great group of songs all with names in the title, so lets get started with Crayons To Perfume 12, and the name game!
