Saw Joe Tex at Montreal's Expo '67 in, yes, Montreal in 1967. Great show, in a relatively intimate setting, maybe 100 people tops in a small tented music stage.
He was already doing his patented "Knock over the mic stand and recover it with a footstomp" routine..several times during his act.
I'd love to see a video of that trick, but vintage Joe Tex videos are few & far between. The one you posted was great!
