Awwwwwwsomme!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Matt, thanks for the heads up on Big Hair And Plastic Grass. Poking around the BHAPG blog, I found an old Aqua Velvet commercial featuring Pete Rose (And Vic Tayback!) singing about the delights of smellin' good.

Velvet.....Velva.....same thing right?
Good God. A man wants to smell like a man! I vaguely remember this ad, actually. I remember Pete Rose's Grecian Formula commercials too, but I don't think he sang in those. Maybe his salary wasn't enough to pay off his gambling debts...
Admittedly the music is not really of the Ichiban variety, but you may enjoy my interview/conversation with Dan on "regular" WFMU from last week: http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/35924
